Brian Doster

General Counsel

Brian serves as Vice President and General Counsel of Commonwealth Capital Corp. and its subsidiaries. He is responsible for all legal functions including Federal, State and local compliance, dispute management, transactional documentation and enforcement and general legal matters.

Prior to joining Commonwealth, Brian served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Checkers Dive-In Restaurants, Inc. in Tampa, FL (1999 – 2014). Brian oversaw all legal needs of Checkers during both its public and private ownership, including oversight of domestic and international franchising. Prior to Checkers, Brian served as General Counsel for Amoco Corporation in Chicago, IL (1985 – 1999). Brian provided for the legal needs of its many subsidiaries, including Amoco Oil Company and as GC and Secretary for Omega Oil Company and Whale Oil, Inc. Brian obtained his J.D. from the University of Baltimore and BS from Towson University. Brian is past President and continues to serve as director of Tampa Family Health Clinics, Inc. and is a past Baldridge Examiner.

Through our leasing program, we guide businesses to recognize the benefits of keeping their cash flow for their core businesses. Our clients are our primary focus. Our focus is insuring that they have the best education, support, guidance and customer experience possible. We offer tailored and customized approaches with our leasing programs.

Our team collaborates on each client – they are all focusing on each one of our clients, as they collaborate weekly to discuss client goals, challenges and to brainstorm on solutions. Our team is on top of the ever-changing equipment market trends, industry pain points and how it affects the business climate.
